Synthesis and Formulation

 This division is dedicated to the synthesis and formulation of new materials and functional inks.
It brings together a set of chemical synthesis and characterization equipment in a cleanroom environment, ensuring a high level of purity and control over compositions.
Beyond the development of new compounds, this platform also enables the scale-up of existing processes, ensuring reproducibility and the upscaling of optimized formulations.

Applications :

Functional polymers and composites, conductive or optoelectronic inks, semiconductor materials.

Nano- and Micro-Fabrication

This facility is an advanced equipment platform for both “top-down” and “bottom-up” manufacturing processes. Its primary goal is the micro- and nanostructuring of functional materials, and their integration into different device designs.

Applications :

Transistors, sensors, photonics, micro- and nanosystems, MEMS.

Printing Techniques

The Printing Hub brings together pilot printing equipment up to A4 format on flexible or rigid substrates. These systems allow for the testing and optimization of printing processes with minimal material consumption, while maintaining maximum compatibility with roll-to-roll (R2R) processes.

Applications :

Printed devices, functional layers, flexible prototypes, printing of conductive or semiconductive inks.

Characterization

This facility is focused on the chemical, structural, electrical, and optical analysis of materials and devices. Our equipment allows us to study the properties of materials in different formats—solid, in solution, as a thin film, or built into a device.

Applications :

Surface, rheological, and elemental analyses, dielectric and electrical properties, morphology studies, and spectroscopic analyses.

Vacuum Deposition and Characterization

This facility houses ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems for dry deposition, the manufacturing of thin-film devices in batches, and their testing. All these systems are connected. This enables both the fundamental study of material structure in its purest state and the study of its interfaces with other materials.

Applications :

Metallic or organic thin films, interface studies, and high-vacuum surface and interface analyses.
